We rented a beach villa at Batam View Resort - which came with two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and a balcony facing the ocean... it was undeniably a sight to behold. Getting to Batam was a bit of a challenge though - it involved taking a one-hour ferry ride to Batam (some of us fell seasick, but to avoid embarrassment I wouldn't say who !! haha), afterwhich took another 2 hours to get us properly checked-in to our villa due to the expectedly large touristy crowd (it was after all the eve of New Year's Day).
Moving around the Batam View Resort was fun and enjoyable- we had to ride in a 'buggy', similar to the ones used around the golf course..... a "first-time" for Chloe...
As with any holiday - the group family photo is a must-have !!
