Celebrating Our Nation's Big Day - 42nd birthday (9 August 2007)

This year's National Day Parade(NDP) was held at a new venue - the floating platform at Marina Bay. However no one in our family managed to obtain tickets to the parade. Jiu jiu and Yi-Zhang did their "homework" a few weeks before the actual day & checked out exactly which area we could go to, in order to get a great view of the fireworks.
Jiu jiu & his fiancée were so enthusiastic that they arrived at 3pm to secure a good spot along the bayfront. Back home, grandma & grandpa were busy preparing everyone's favourites dishes such as curry chicken & fried mee hoon for our mini picnic.
All of us arrived at at the bayfront at around 5pm - this popular stretch was already packed with early birds ^.^




Together with the rest, Chloe was dressed in red to join in the celebratory mood...


The nite is still young, everyone kept themselves entertained while waiting for showtime:
